This Thanksgiving, I spent my time with family on the shores of the Outer Banks. It was a gorgeous place! I had never been. Obviously it was not prime season, but I was still stuck by the beauty of the place. So I went out with camera in hand. I shared some of the images earlier, but this one above is one of my favorites. Coming from a painting background, I knew it could be more dramatic and I could really have some fun with the image. I was a bit disappointed that the cloud cover wasn’t more dramatic and that the only light house near by was covered by scaffolding! So I grabbed a few images that I had taken from different trips and made an idealized version of my time at the Outer Banks. Composites are quite fun! I wish I had some birds to pull from however!
